Who we are
Caute Publishing is an independent publisher founded in Amsterdam in 1998.
We publish the kind of books we love to read—books that go beyond the bestseller lists. In today’s publishing world, 10% of titles account for 90% of sales, leaving bookstore shelves filled only with top-selling authors. For readers looking for something different, small publishers like Caute are the answer.
Over the years, we’ve brought world-renowned authors like Ayn Rand to new audiences through unique companion editions—bridging fiction, philosophy, and political theory. We’ve published powerful first-hand accounts, such as Manuel Stolik Novogrod’s memoir of life in Cuba during the Revolution, and we’ve championed fresh voices like Mateo Rodríguez-Braun and Luis Bradstrich, who tell stories rooted in everyday life.
Caute Publishing will always stay small, independent, and committed to publishing books worth reading—no matter where they come from.
